Evaporator types

Xvaporators low temperature evaporators are always designed after the customer's specific needs and requirements.
In order to achieve the optimal technical solution, it is necessary to exchange knowledge about requirements for processing/output, energy consumption, present waste heat/surplus energy, desire for recovery of heat from the evaporator ect.
We are specialized in the reuse of existing waste heat/surplus energy (steam, hot water or hot air), both in terms of new installations as renovated plants.
The profits are that the evaporators in most cases will be operated almost cost free and
this also gives an green profile.

When the technical basis is established, the economy can be calculated, i.e. operating expenses before and after the investment.
Normally you will se
a very attractive return on investment, and your use of chemical treatment can in many cases be redused.

To assess/verify the quality of distillate and
concentrate compared to the established requirements, we usually offer to conduct a large-scale test on one of our test evaporators. The test provides valuable data for optimizing of the design – your new evaporator will be uniquely adapted to your specific needs and requirements.

Our evaporators can be used for several porpuses/applications and it have several benefits:
- Low temperature evaporation of proteins (evaporation temperature below 45 degree Celsius)
- Low temperature evaporation of aggressive wastewater
- Recycling of water
- Recycling of solvents
- Energy saving (use exesting waste heat/surplus energy)
- Multiple effect evaporators with very low energy consumption (destillate form effect 1 heat up effect 2 - and so on)


The
used the technology can in general be divided into five series, but it is often appropriate to combine the technologies in the design of a new evaporator.

elow are some general description of each series.

X-Vac is a vacuum evaporator, it can be designed with a heat pump or using waste heat/surplus energy.
This type of evaporator are usually used for handling of very corrosive liquids, recycling of solvents ect.
Of application examples can be mentioned:

Photo Industry, recycling of wash water and stabiliser, concentration of spent developer, fix and bleach
Pharmaceutical Industry, recycling of organic solvents and concentration of CIP cleaning fluids
Manufacturing Industry, separation of oily wastewater, degreasing baths and reuse of rinsing water

Chemical Industry, concentration and recycling of chemicals including organic solvents
Galvanic Industry, concentration of spent electrolyte, degreasing and rinse baths and reuse of rinsing water


The X-vac principle of function with a heat pump keeps the energy consumption low and eliminates the need for heat supply. You just have to supply electrical power and cooling, and your X-vac is ready to handle your waste water or recycle your valuable process media.

X-Fall is a falling film evaporator with forced circulation. Depending on the heat source it will operate under vacuum or pressure. X-fall may be built with multiple effects allowing the heat to be used more times. In this way the energy consumption is kept at a minimum. X-fall is designed according to the energy and space at your disposal. The design and the use of the latest software for the engineering ensure maximum capacity with minimized demand for cleaning and maintenance. X-fall is typically used for media with higher viscosity than X-rise and where even higher attention has to be given to minimizing the energy consumption.

X-Flash is an evaporator with flash evaporation. It is designed for handling jobs where you need to achieve a very high level of dry matter ( non-aquaouos substances ) in the concentrate. The X-flash principle of function is based on flash evaporation with external heat supply. Depending on the heat source the X-flash will operate under vacuum or pressure. X-flash special design will allow for a dry matter content higher than any other dynamic evaporator.  Oil bearing waste water, for example, may be almost completely freed from water ( content of dry matter > 95% ), turning the concentrate into a valuable energy source

X-Comb evaporators combine the evaporation principles needed to ensure the best performance at minimized running costs. Depending on the heat source it will operate under vacuum or pressure. X-comb may be built with multiple effects allowing the heat to be used more times. In this way the energy consumption is kept at a minimum. X-comb is designed according to the energy and space at your disposal. The design and the use of the latest software for the engineering ensure maximum capacity with minimized demand for cleaning and maintenance. X-comb allows for indefinite variability, so there is no doubt, that we will find the solution that suits your demand ideally.

X-Rise is a rising film evaporator with natural circulation. Depending on the heat source it will operate under vacuum or pressure. X-rise may be built with multiple effects allowing the heat to be used more times. In this way the energy consumption is kept at a minimum. X-rise is designed according to the energy and space at your disposal. The design and the use of the latest software for the engineering ensures maximum capacity with minimized demand for cleaning and maintenance.
